We noticed that many currency conversion tools are heavily ad-supported, slow to load, and difficult to read. We decided to create a tool that feels like a professional financial terminal: precise, calm, and dense with value.
Our Data Source
Accuracy is our top priority. Our exchange rates are sourced directly from the European Central Bank (ECB) via the open-source Frankfurter API.
The ECB publishes reference rates daily, based on a regular daily concertation procedure between central banks across Europe and worldwide, which normally takes place at 14:15 CET. This means the rates you see on WorldCurrencyFlash are the official mid-market reference rates used by financial institutions across the globe.
Accuracy and Update Frequency
The converter widget on our homepage fetches live data directly from the API every time you load the page or change the base currency.
- Update schedule: Rates are updated once daily on European working days around 16:00 CET.
- Mid-market rates: We display the mid-market rate. Please note that retail banks and payment providers often add a markup to this rate when you buy or sell foreign currency.
- Reliability: By relying on central bank reference rates, we eliminate the volatility and noise of minute-by-minute trading fluctuations, providing a stable baseline for your business calculations.
